ADTRUSS

Purpose:  Used to calculate forces in horizontal truss bracing of box girders.

-->    Given in girder input

The cross section area (in2 or mm2) of diagonals in horizontal truss bracing used to calculate forces in the diagonals. See page 62 in the 1993 Edition of the Guide Specifications for Horizontally Curved Highway Bridges. When ADTRUSS is given, the contribution of the diagonal to the cross section stiffness is calculated from the horizontal truss configuration established with INB-i and SCRATIO (instead of specifying AHTRUSS, which only could be given as a single value). Thus, AHTRUSS should not be given when ADTRUSS is used. See also ASTRUSS.
