INTERMEDIATE TRANSVERSE STIFFENERS BOTH SIDES OF WEB

Purpose:  Used to indicate the intermediate transverse web stiffeners are on both sides of the web for each given location along the girder.

-->    Given in girder input

Places intermediate transverse stiffeners on both sides of web.  Stiffener locations (see TSSP ) and dimensions (see SPLTSW , SPLTST ) must be specified in girder rating, but can be generated in girder design. This would typically only be of use for an interior girder on a very simple bridge. For all other cases, the condition INTERMEDIATE TRANSVERSE STIFFENERS ONE SIDE OF WEB should be used with the minimum stiffener plate dimensions that are present among all the intermediate web stiffeners including the connection plates if these are to be considered as stiffeners. This is so the program can check that the stiffeners qualify as being considered stiffeners for web stress checking.

Not used with rolled shapes or box girders.
