Purpose: Used to modify self-weight calculation of girder steel (web and flanges) to include additional details as an alternative to using WAS-i or WAS data.

Increases calculated total self-weight of steel by a factor to account for uncalculated detail material. Used as an alternative to WAS-i or WAS which are given by tenth point. Default is 1.0. For example, STEELFACT 1.1 would increase calculated self-weight of steel by 10 percent.
